Excel and Outlook Courses
These courses will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and each course is 1.5 hours long. They will help advisers develop their skills and ensure they are getting the most from their Microsoft office tools.

Make Excel work for you
This course will help advisers use the tools in excel more efficiently, saving time and securing their work more effectively.
The course will include:
Fundamentals of calculations including ordering calculations, statistic functions and absolute referencing
Using IF Functions including COUNTIF and SUMIF
Formula Auditing - Watch Windows, Trace Precedent and dependant cells
Goal seek – get Excel to set a formula result by altering the input value

This course takes a deeper look into the tools of excel relevant to advisers, especially working with data analysis, payroll calculations and management accounting.
The course will include:
XLOOKUP and VLOOKUP
Date Functions including add/minus days to a date, calculating the number of days between dates, calculating the number of working days between two dates
Text Functions including using text strings to join text, changing case and flash fill
The Pivot course
You knew there’d be a pivot table course! This course not only considers the use of pivot tables but also develops a greater understanding of data tools in excel.
The course will include:
Filtering data to specific rows
Converting tables to use subtotals and slicers
Validation of data
Create Pivots to analyse data by categories
This course will be on the Teams platform.
